The sophisticated control algorithms allow the user to program the controller for a wide range of applications without the need for custom software.
The controller has two fully programmable universal inputs that can be setup to read: voltage, current, resistive, frequency, or digital input signals. It also interfaces with a magnetic pick up sensor and an encoder. There are also two universal outputs that can be setup to drive: proportional current (up to 3A each); hotshot digital current; proportional voltage (up to supply); proportional PWM; or straight on/off digital loads. The universal output type is user selectable as high side, low side or half bridge output. All I/O ports on the unit are independent from one another.
The valve driver is a highly programmable controller, allowing the user to configure it for their application. Its sophisticated control algorithms allow for open or closed loop drive of the proportional outputs. It can be operated as either a self-contained control system, driving the outputs directly from the on-board inputs, and/or it can be integrated into a CAN J1939 network of controllers. All I/O and logical function blocks on the unit are inherently independent from one another but can be programmed to interact in many ways.
The valve controller has several built-in protections that can shut off the outputs in adverse conditions. They include hardware shutoffs to protect the circuits from being damaged as well as software shutdown features that can be enabled in safety critical systems.
Setpoints are user configurable using E-Write NFC Android Application and for complex control profiles, the Electronic Assistant.
A rugged power supply interface accepts 12 Vdc or 24 Vdc nominal for battery powered machine applications. LED’s indicate operational status. The enclosure is DIN rail mount. It operates from -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F). The sophisticated control algorithms allow the user to program the controller for a wide range of applications without the need for customer software.

3A Solenoid Driver
The 3 Amp Solenoid Driver simplifies control of proportional solenoids by supplying a current proportional to a user selectable input control. It is suited for industrial applications interfacing with a PLC. This linear solenoid driver utilizes high frequency switching output (PWM) to provide a DC current output. Output is user selectable as 0 to 3 Amps or 0 to +/- 3 Amps. A current sensing circuit maintains output current regardless of changes in input voltage and coil resistance. The user can adjust PWM frequency, maximum current, minimum current, a superimposed dither frequency and amplitude using single turn trim potentiometers.

DSDA-SMB-x Dual Solenoid Multifunction Valve Drivers
The Dual Solenoid Multifunction Valve Driver provides accurate control of hydraulic proportional and directional valves used in mobile equipment and industrial processes, with input from a joystick, potentiometer or control system interface. This multifunctional design will support inputs from a joystick potentiometer with or without center tap, a standard potentiometer or commonly available control signals such as 0 to 5 Volts, 0 to +/-5 Volts, 0 to 10 Volts, 0 to +/-10 Volts, 0 to 20 mA, and 0 to +/-20 mA. The power supply connection is conditioned to withstand the harsh environment found in vehicular power systems. Maximum current output is adjustable from 0 to 2 Amps (300 mA and 100 mA output versions are available). A high low range input provides reduced output for limited operation. The driver is potted and packaged driver in a metal base.
