Dual Universal Signal Converter with CAN, Isolated

Dual Input/Output Signal Converter, DIN Rail Mount (SAE J1939)
The isolated dual channel universal signal converter accepts two universal signal inputs and converts them into two signal outputs (analog voltage, analog current or digital signal). A magnetic pick up sensor and encoder inputs are also supported. The control can be networked to a SAE J1939 networked engine control system. The unit has 4-way isolation between power, inputs, outputs and CAN. Using the Android application E-Write NFC or the Electronic Assistant programming tool, the user can configure the inputs and outputs and CAN bus to suit the application.
Refer to the table for a list of inputs and outputs. A +5V, 50 mA reference is available to power a sensor input. A rugged power supply interface accepts 12 Vdc or 24 Vdc nominal. LED’s indicate operational status. The enclosure is DIN rail mount. It operates from -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F).

20 Universal Signal Input/Analog Output CAN Controllers
The 20 Universal Signal Input/Analog Output CAN Controller can extend machine control networks by adding I/O to the CAN bus. The controller features 1 Isolated CAN port for user-defined communications over the bus. It accepts up to 10 analog (0-5 V, 0-10 V, 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA), digital, PWM, Frequency or RPM inputs. Two voltage references (user configurable as +5 or +10 V) are provided to power external sensors. A digital input and a resistive input allow for additional interfaces. Each input can be configured to measure the input value and send the data to a SAE J1939 or CANopen® CAN network. The I/O module provides 8 analog outputs (0-5 V, 0-10 V, +/-5 V, +/-1 0V, 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA) as well as 1 Form C relay output. Diagnostics messages are provided over the CAN network for the status of inputs or outputs.

Discrete I/O Modules with Relay Outputs and CAN From Axiomatic
The Discrete I/O Module reads 12 discrete inputs and sets 8 Form C relay outputs while networking with other CAN devices (SAE J1939 or CANopen®) in a machine control system. The unit is a battery powered device with the ability to withstand engine cranking, reverse polarity and transient power conditions. In engine applications, information is provided to the engine control system using single-frame J1939 or CANopen® application-specific PDU2 type messages. Outputs can be controlled by any input or CAN message. A bi-color LED indicates operational status.
The module has a number of setpoints that allow the user to configure it for their application. The Windows-based Electronic Assistant can be used to configure the module over the CAN J1939 line. The setpoints can also be saved to a file and flashed into other similar modules over the CAN bus. Alternatively, a RS-232 interface allows for quick user configuration adjustments using Windows HyperTerminal or other similar terminal software. Settings are saved to non-volatile memory upon command.
The unit features rugged packaging and watertight TE Deutsch connectors for an IP65 rating. The module is UL recognized for UL508 (FTPM2) – Controls for Stationary Engine Driven Assemblies and has a cUL recognition as well. The control carries a CE mark for the EMC and RoHS Directives. The DIO Module meets the environmental, EMC and vibration requirements of generator set applications in marine installations and, depending on the model, may have type approvals from several marine societies (LR, DNV-GL, ABS, RINA, CCS, and BV).

The 12 Channel Strain Gauge CAN controller accepts up to twelve 4-wire strain gauge connections. The input range is user selectable from +/- 2.5 mV to +/- 2.5 Vdc. LVDT/RVDT Simulators
The LVDT Simulator is used to test LVDT or RVDT sensors. Using a 0- 10VDC command signal input and an excitation (drive input), the unit provides two simulation outputs of 1-5VAC. An internal 3kHz oscillator can be utilized as an alternative excitation source. Both outputs are fully isolated. The unit accepts power supply input from 4 to 32VDC. When the input voltage increases from 0-10VDC, the output voltage A increases from 1 to 5VAC and the output voltage B decreases from 5 to 1VAC. Factory settings for the offset (minimum) and span (maximum) are user adjustable. A LED indicates power is OK. The unit is conformal coated and available in a DIN rail mount housing.

RS-232 to CAN Converter with Two Digital Inputs
The RS-232 to CAN Converter with Two Digital Inputs is a compact device for interfacing RS-232 satellite phones or GPS systems with CAN bus in on-road commercial vehicles.
The RS-232 serial port interface is provided with user-configurable frame forwarding system to convert serial port messages into CAN frames. Likewise, the two fully isolated CAN interfaces have user-configurable CAN ID filtering and frame forward system, to convert CAN frames into serial port messages. By default, the primary CAN port (CAN1) supports J1939 messaging and uses passive baud rate discovery to detect CAN network baud rate.
In addition, two digital signal inputs are provided. The inputs can be configured to measure frequency, PWM and digital signals. Measured input data can be sent to a SAE J1939 CAN Network or used to enable/disable frame forwarding.
A Windows-based Axiomatic Electronic Assistant (EA) is used to configure the controller via a USB-CAN (AX070501) device. Setpoint configuration can be saved in a file which can be used to easily program the same configuration into another device of the same P/N. -
